A focus on providing high quality locally roasted coffee and homemade food to their community is the backbone of their business. The owner wants each person that walks in to feel like they are a guest in her home.

Slow season + increased competition
In the last few years, nearly 10 new coffee shops have opened the same few block radius of Alternative Fuel. The slow season was already a tough enough time to get through, and having so much more competition made this last winter the most challenging yet. They tried so many things to cut costs but their was not a big enough focus on growth.
